Emma’s love for dogs started early, her very first word was “dog,” even before “mom” or “dad.” She’s spent her whole life surrounded by dogs of all breeds and sizes, including her beloved Great Dane, Gracie, and now her two Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers, Willie and Niall.
She has years of hands-on experience working in both traditional dog daycares and a professional training facility, where she learned to read dog behavior, communicate effectively with pups, and handle even the most reactive or aggressive dogs with patience and care. After seeing how many daycares felt more like kennels than cozy, loving environments, Emma knew she wanted something different. That’s why Grateful Dog means so much to her, it’s a place where dogs are truly treated like family!
Currently based in Monkton, Maryland, Emma is a junior in college studying Law and Society. While she plans to become an entertainment attorney in the music industry, dogs will always have her heart. Every day she spends with the pups reminds her why she loves what she does. Whether it’s a long hike, a quick walk, or some cozy snuggle time, Emma is committed to making every dog feel safe, loved, and happy.
